Sahil Ghosh is passionate about math, science, and music. He has won 1st place in his grade 5 Math Olympiad in 2021. He got a 4th place National Rank, and a 3rd place state rank, in the Math Kangaroo Contest (2020). In 2021, he got 6th place at the state level, and 7th nationally for Math Kangaroo again. He was selected in his middle school's top 12 Math Competition Team (2021) to go to the MathCounts State Contest. In 2022, he won 3rd place nationally in the Grissom Math Contest. Apart from Math, he got several awards in public speaking/debate competitions and also ranked in the Harvard Debate & Forensics tournament (2020). He also got 1st place in the NorthSouth Foundation impromptu speaking Contest (2022). In 2020, he received a congressional award in poetry, and also went to the MCA science bowl with his team in 2021. In 2022, he went to the MCA Middlesex County science bowl once again to win 2nd place as the top scorer from his team. His school team got into the World Finals for Odyssey of the Mind (2021), and placed in the top 20 teams in the world. In 2023, he went to the St. Joseph Math Contest representing his school to win 1st place with a perfect score. He and his team won 5th place in the Middlesex County Academy Math Contest in 2023. He is currently an officer of his middle school debate team. He also finds himself heavily into music as well and plays multiple instruments (piano, guitar, drums, percussion...). In 2021, he created weCrossroads to benefit the education system.
